Course Review: "From 00 to Hero" by Sorted Food

I recently had the pleasure of participating in the "From 00 to Hero" course offered by Sorted Food, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience. Over the course of one month, we learned one fantastic recipe per week, including burger buns, Focaccia, Cinnamon buns, and Pizza Dough. As a home cook with limited experience, I found this course to be an excellent opportunity to expand my culinary skills and explore new recipes.

Accessible and Delicious Recipes

What impressed me most about the course was how Sorted Food made these challenging recipes so accessible. The ingredients required for each recipe were readily available and didn't demand any fancy or hard-to-find items. This aspect made it easy to gather everything needed to get started without any hassle.

Expert Guidance from Chef Kush

The lessons were delivered through high-quality videos by Chef Kush, whose expertise and passion for cooking shone through each tutorial. His clear instructions and step-by-step guidance made it a breeze to follow along, even for someone with limited cooking experience. I particularly appreciated how Chef Kush provided demonstrations of specific techniques, ensuring a thorough understanding of the process before attempting it myself.

Suggestions for Improvement

The course was already excellent, but there are a few areas where I believe it could be further improved. Providing a more specific list of equipment and their dimensions would be beneficial, eliminating any guesswork in selecting the right size or type of equipment required. Additionally, more scientific details on the "why" behind certain cooking techniques would enhance our knowledge and make us more confident in the kitchen. Including information on common mistakes and how to troubleshoot them would also be incredibly valuable, allowing participants to anticipate and address any potential issues.

Creating a more interactive environment for the class would be a great addition. A platform like Slack, where participants could connect, ask questions, and share their progress, would foster a sense of community and engagement. The opportunity to discuss challenges, exchange tips, and receive feedback from both the instructor and fellow participants would enrich the overall learning experience.

Recommendation

Despite these suggestions for improvement, I wholeheartedly recommend the "From 00 to Hero" course by Sorted Food. The accessible nature of the recipes, Chef Kush's expertise, and the overall structure of the course make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to expand their culinary repertoire. I am excited to redo these recipes, armed with the newfound knowledge and skills I acquired during the course. Thank you, Sorted Food, for creating such a valuable learning experience!
